John Morgan was once described by his good pal and fellow lensman as a photographer with a frustrated musician inside him due to his uncanny ability to capture the key moments in a band performance and be in the right place at the right time. “It’s all down to anticipation, understanding the music and observation”, John says, '“as well as loving the essence of live performance and wanting to be up there with them”.
John is passionate about music photography and portraying the music and artist through visceral and atmospheric imagery. For some time now he’s been a constant documenter of the buoyant Bristol music scene and has recently enjoyed music related excursions overseas to the United States (Texas and Nashville), and continental Europe (Italy, Netherlands and Belgium).
Regularly featured in Bristol 24/7, his work has also been published by Americana UK and Country Music Magazine. John has a number of key bands and artists that he collaborates with including: John Fairhurst, Bennett Wilson Poole, Hannah Rose Platt, Danny and the Champions of the World, John E Vistic, The Rosellys, Hannah Aldridge and Emily Breeze.
His work has featured on many album and EP covers and is also used regularly in promo and press releases.
